As a professional manufacturer and seller of polyaluminum chloride, with the demand of the wastewater treatment market, we produce high-molecular inorganic flocculants to gradually replace traditional water purifying agents. In the wastewater treatment industry, polyaluminum chloride and polyaluminum chloride iron can both be used as water treatment flocculants and coagulants. However, there are still significant differences between the two. In terms of production raw materials and various technical indicators, as well as practical applications, they will have different effects.
1.From the appearance, polyaluminium is yellow, while polyaluminium iron is reddish-brown.
2. In terms of the scope of treating industrial water, polyaluminium performs exceptionally well in purifying river water. The treated water has good quality and is softer, without causing fabric hardening and other phenomena. On the other hand, polyaluminium iron has a short processing time and quick effect in purifying wastewater in steel mills, paper mills, and sewage treatment plants. The treated water is clear and more likely to meet the discharge standards.
3. From the perspective of processing raw materials, polyaluminium requires the use of aluminum hydroxide powder for processing and production, while polyaluminium iron requires the use of aluminum-calcium powder as the processing raw material.
4. From the functional perspective, polyaluminium iron can only be used in industrial water treatment, while polyaluminium can be used in both drinking water and industrial water treatment. The raw materials for synthesizing polyaluminium by the metal aluminum method mainly include aluminum processing waste materials, such as aluminum shavings, aluminum ash, and aluminum slag. The aluminum ash is slowly added to hydrochloric acid at a certain ratio under stirring for reaction, and then the liquid polyaluminium is obtained through maturation polymerization, sedimentation, filtration, concentration, and drying. The process can be divided into three types: acid method, alkali method, and neutralization method. The acid method mainly has difficulty in controlling product quality; the alkali method has a high production difficulty, large equipment investment, and large amount of alkali used; the most commonly used is the neutralization method, as long as the ratio is controlled properly, it can generally meet the standards.
