Column-shaped activated carbon is made from anthracite or materials such as coconut shells, fruit shells, wood chips, etc. It has a large specific surface area, well-developed internal micropores, and strong adsorption capacity. Under appropriate conditions, after being treated with strong oxidants, it can increase the content of acidic groups on its surface, thereby enhancing its adsorption capacity.

Notes on columnar activated carbon:

1. During transportation, prevent the activated carbon from being mixed with hard substances and avoid stepping on it to prevent the carbon particles from breaking and affecting the quality.

2. Storage: It should be stored in porous adsorbents. Therefore, during transportation, storage, and use, water immersion must be prevented as water immersion will fill the active pores, causing the carbon to lose its function.

3. Preventing tar-like substances: During use, it is prohibited to bring tar-like substances into the activated carbon bed to avoid blocking the carbon pores and losing the adsorption effect. Use an equipment for purifying the gas to remove tar.

4. Fire prevention: During storage or transportation, prevent direct contact with fire sources to prevent ignition. When using, avoid oxygen intake and must use steam to cool down to below 80℃; otherwise, high temperature and oxygen exposure will cause the activated carbon to self-ignite.

Packaging and storage:

2. The product should be stored in a cool and dry place and must not be mixed with toxic, harmful, or odorous products.

Transportation Precautions:
