The walnut shell filter material is made from high-quality walnut shells as the raw material. It is refined through multiple processes such as defatting, crushing, polishing, water washing, and screening. It is a natural walnut shell filter material specially developed for oil-containing wastewater. The particles have many sharp corners and rich internal micropores, possessing hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties. It can adsorb and retain floating oil, emulsified oil, suspended matter, and colloidal particles in the water body. It is a dedicated filter material for oil-containing wastewater from oil fields and petrochemical industries. It is usually filled in walnut shell filters and regenerates itself through backwashing and stirring friction. Compared to quartz sand, it is more suitable for oil-water separation conditions.

Applicable Scene:

The produced water from oil fields is recycled for filtration; oily wastewater from petrochemical refineries, oily wastewater from steel cold rolling, oily wastewater from mechanical processing cleaning, oil-water separation on offshore platforms - all these can be utilized for grinding and polishing (sandblasting), as well as for filling in base layers.

Usage Instructions：

The special walnut shell filter is filled and combined with a stirring + backwashing system; during backwashing, the particles rub against each other, removing the oil stains adhered to the surface; there is no need to frequently replace the entire batch, and about 10% of the filter material is replenished annually; when the influent contains high oil content, pre-treatment can be carried out in advance.
