The materials of Bauer ring packing are commonly PP (polypropylene), PVC, stainless steel, ceramics, etc. The ring walls have openings and extend inwardly with blades to increase the contact area between gas and liquid and reduce the resistance of gas flow. It is a commonly used mass transfer packing in chemical and environmental waste gas towers. The gas flow can pass through the ring holes and windows without being deflected or channelled, and it has high mass transfer efficiency and low pressure drop, suitable for desulfurization, decarbonization, absorption, washing and other processes. Bauer ring packing is a new type of packing. It emerged as an improvement on some main shortcomings of Raschig rings. It is formed by opening eight layers of rectangular windows on the wall of the ordinary Raschig ring, with the blades of the windows overlapping in the middle of the ring, and the positions of the upper and lower layers of windows intersecting. The main difference between Bauer ring packing and Raschig ring packing lies in the fact that it has rectangular window holes on the side walls, and the window leaves bend towards the center of the ring. Due to the opening of the window holes on the ring wall, the distribution performance of gas and liquid is greatly improved compared to Raschig rings, especially the inner surface area of the ring can be fully utilized.

5. It is resistant to aging, has a long service life, and is suitable for continuous operation of waste gas scrubbers and absorbers.
